Veyseys Butchers is a traditional butchers in Cullompton, Devon. They have a retail and catering business.

The Challenge

They had a piece of software that was producing Invoices for their catering business and it was only linked to one of there six scales.

The other five scales were being managed separately and without software. Any changes were extremely laborious and had the potential for incorrect data input. The machines also had different files in them and they were not all the same even though they should have been.

They had a website for online orders but it was being managed separately, which was quite labour intensive.

For there shop tickets this was being printed from a plastic card printer. Again being managed by another program and they were duplicating shop products.

The Solution

Dimension Pro was implemented to bring all the following elements of the business together: web management, scale management, counter ticket management, shop report and catering invoice management.

We rebuilt the customers file and merged all the data together so they only had one set of products. All the scales were wiped and the new file from Dimension was sent down to all of them. This meant that all six scales were linked to Dimension and the file is now easily managed. Saving time and money.

Next we tackled the catering side of the business and setup price lists to manage the bespoke pricing requirements for the customers. Then we showed the customer how to export invoices to Quickbooks.

We redesigned and rebuilt there website which is now linked to Dimension. They can easily add new products to the website and also receive orders. This means they can print off a picking sheet, then pick, pack and label through the scale. There website is also a lot more user friendly and customer are loving it.

We also implemented Electronic Shelf Labels in the shop to make price changing even easier. When the price changes the price will change in the scale and then update the ESL.

By implementing Dimension this has saved the customer hours of valuable time. When they update a product this will now update the scale, website, ESL and catering.  Before they would have had to do this in multiple programs and risk errors and mistakes.
